- 設立宗旨：
跨領域藝術與視覺文化策展研究室（Interdisciplinary Art and Visual Culture Curatorial Research Lab, IAVCC）成立於 2026 年，由周伸芳博士創立並主持，隸屬於東海大學美術學系與創意設計暨藝術學院。本研究室前身源自 2007年於英國倫敦成立之 l’oeuf alchimique（LOA），由前英國倫敦藝術大學互動藝術設計研究所主任 Nicolas Marechal 與周伸芳博士共同創立。LOA 以跨領域整合與當代藝術策展為研究取徑，結合理論探討、實務型藝術研究、出版與跨領域藝術實踐，長期關注藝術、設計與科技之間的交會關係。2020 年遷移至臺灣後，LOA 持續推動學術研究、策展計畫與公共藝術專案，回應在地文化脈絡與制度環境的變動。至 2026 年，隨研究與教學體系之發展，原有工作室正式整合進入東海大學教學與研究架構，並更名為「跨領域藝術與視覺文化策展研究室（IAVCC）」，作為結合理論研究、策展實踐與教育工作的跨領域研究平台。
The Interdisciplinary Art and Visual Culture Curatorial Research Lab (IAVCC) was established in 2026 and is founded and directed by Dr Shengfang Chou. The Lab is based in the Department of Fine Arts within the College of Creative Design and Arts at Tunghai University, Taiwan. IAVCC developed from l’oeuf alchimique (LOA), founded in London in 2007 by Nicolas Marechal (former Acting Course Leader in Interactive Design, University of the Arts London) and Dr Shengfang Chou (former Lecturer at the University of Warwick). LOA advanced curatorial practice as a mode of research, integrating theoretical inquiry, practice-based artistic research, publishing, and cross-disciplinary production across art, design, and technology. Following its relocation to Taiwan in 2020, LOA continued to undertake research, curatorial initiatives, and public art projects in dialogue with local cultural contexts. In 2026, it was formally incorporated into Tunghai University’s academic framework and renamed the Interdisciplinary Art and Visual Culture Curatorial Research Lab (IAVCC), establishing a research platform that brings together theory, curatorial practice, and pedagogy.
- 研究／研發項目說明：
IAVCC 從事教育、研究、策展與出版工作，透過專題研究、跨領域展覽、教學計畫與國際學術交流，探討當代藝術與其文化與社會脈絡之間的關係。研究室匯聚具跨域與創新取向的藝術家、策展人與研究者，並與學術機構、政府部門及產業單位展開合作，形塑一個以對話與實驗為核心的當代藝術研究與實踐平台。
IAVCC engages in education, research, curatorial practice, and publishing. Through thematic research projects, cross-disciplinary exhibitions, teaching programmes, and international academic exchange, the Lab explores the relationships between contemporary art and its cultural and social contexts,
Bringing together artists, curators, and researchers with interdisciplinary and innovative approaches, IAVCC collaborates with academic institutions, governmental bodies, and industry partners to cultivate a contemporary art research and practice platform grounded in dialogue and experimentation.
